Our annual conference is just around the corner, and preparations are well underway! Please check out our meeting webpage for 2017; it contains all of the details we need to know. So far, we have 3 vendors joining us: CCBC Medical Imaging Programs, RadNet, and Trajecys. We are approved for 12 Category A CEUs by the ASRT, and we have a variety of topics this year. For the first time in recent memory, we will have a silent auction of baskets donated by several Radiography programs in the state. AND we will have our Gift Booth again this year with t-shirts, bumper stickers, and other goodies. So please come join us at the beach for a weekend of fun and professional development!
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year! In the new year, I will post details about the 2017 Annual Meeting, so please check back then. Stay safe and stay warm!
Yes, I missed National Radiologic Technologists Week officially. However, I want to extend everyone a very happy NRTW, even though belated. On November 5, I arrived back in the US from a 2 week trip to Ghana with the RAD-AID organization. It was a trip of a lifetime, albeit a very long journey. Soon I will be recruiting volunteers for my project with RAD-AID, but for now you can read about the Ghana Project at https://www.rad-aid.org/countries/global-outreach/africa/ghana/. So I do have an excuse, but I am very happy to be surrounded by experienced technologists on a daily basis. So Happy NRTW!

Some of the comments so far include having more students from other radiography programs around the state, having more technologists come to the meeting, and having breakfast. LOL. Great ideas so far!
